SAE 100 R5 absorbs a special structure, inner tube, steel wire reinforce and a textile cover. The inner tube is thicker than other hydraulic hoses. Thus it has better pressure resistance. The textile cover can protect the reinforce from cutting and other external damage. It can work at max 100℃ and remains flexible at -40℃.

First of all, make sure the pressure fits your work. If your work pressure is higher than the hose can bear, it will reduce the service life. What’s more, it may cause hose burst. But you don’t have to choose a much higher pressure hose.
Second, choose a proper size. The hose should fix on the machine well. Besides, it should not block. While over small and large size will cause problem.
Third, confirm the medium. Because different mediums requires different hoses. For example, acid liquid requires the hose should be chemical resistant.
Fourth, length. The hose should be a little longer than your need. Because hydraulic hose will shock during the use. Once the hose is not long enough, it will keep taut. Then it will reduce the service life.
Last, work condition. Keep your hose away from sharp thing because it may hurt the hose.
